Nursery
(Ages 6 weeks to 2 years old)

Our team is well staffed and equipped for your precious little one. Our nursery is full of fun, engaging, age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between every services. Babies have specific needs and schedules, so when you bring your child to the classroom, we have a form that you can fill out to let our team know the feeding, sleeping, and changing needs your child has. It is our privilege to take the time to pray for your child each week.

Toddler
(Ages 2 and 3)

In our toddler class, your child will begin to hear about the love of Jesus through play, stories and songs.  We allow plenty of time for age appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between every service.

Preschool
(Ages 4 and 5)

In our preschool class, we begin to assist in building your child’s biblical foundation. We help them interact and build their faith through play, stories, songs and time in small groups.  In preschool, your child will begin to learn our 4 Core Values of children’s church: Love God, Love People, Do Your Best and Have Fun!

Elementary
(Ages 6 to 11)

In Elementary, we further develop our understanding of our 4 core values: Love God, Love People, Do Your Best and Have Fun!  We model our Elementary services after our adult services with a time of fellowship, worship, a lesson from the stage and close with small groups.  We believe our Elementary children are being introduced to Biblical teaching that will encourage them to commit their lives and hearts to Jesus.

Family Discipleship

Resource for Kids

This beautifully illustrated hardback book takes children on a journey from the garden of Eden to God's prefect new creation. A retelling of the Easter story through a Bible overview, The Garden, the Curtain, and the Cross will help children discover that 'because of our sin, we can't go in' but because of Jesus' victory on the cross, an even better garden awaits us. This book uses simple language to explain big Biblical truths so that kids can understand.

Resource for Parents

Mama Bear Apologetics is the mom-to-mom guide that will equip you to teach your kids how to form their own beliefs about what is true and what is false. Through honest storytelling and practical application, this band of Mama Bears offers tools to train your kids how to spot the lie traps intended to trip them up and the steps to take to stand strong on God's Word.

Our children’s ministry is open on Sunday for our 9:30 and 11 AM experiences.

At what age can my child begin attending The Rock Kids?

Our nursery classroom is open for babies at 6 weeks old.

At what age does my child “age out” of The Rock Kids?

We believe students are ready for our adult services either by 6th grade or age 12.

What time can my child get checked into church?

Your child can be checked in to our children’s ministry program 20 minutes prior to your service time.

Can I sit in children’s ministry with my child?

At this time, No. All of those in our Rock Kids classrooms have to be background checked through The Rock Church prior to entering a classroom.

My child has allergies.  Will they be safe attending The Rock Kids?

Our children’s program is a Peanut Free program. When you check in your child for the first time, you are given an info sheet with a space to include allergies. Your child’s allergies are listed for the classroom teachers on their identification sticker tag which they wear during children’s ministry. Please make our check in desk aware of any new allergies that may need to be added to your child’s existing profile in our system.

How will I know if my child is having a hard time in The Rock Kids or is crying?

If your child should become ill or have difficulty transitioning into our children’s program, the classroom teacher will have you paged. The code that matches your child’s identification sticker and your pick-up tag will appear at the bottom of the screen during service. Have your pick-up tag available.

Do you need help in The Rock Kids?

Our Rock Kids team is always growing! We love to have new members added to our team to ensure our children’s ministry runs smoothly. If you would like more information on how to join our Dream Team and get involved please email kylie.chesley@experiencetherock.church.

Have your Rock Kids staff been properly trained?

Our children’s ministry teachers and assistants have all been background checked. Assistants have had policy training as well as classroom training and our lead teachers have first had to be assistants before being further trained as teachers.

At what age can my older child begin to serve in The Rock Kids?

At 12 years old, students can train to serve in any of our children’s ministry classrooms as an assistant or as an Audio Visual assistant for our Tech team in our Elementary classroom.

What curriculum is used in the classrooms?

Our Toddler classroom serves children from 2 to 3 years old. We currently use Go! curriculum.

Our preschool classroom serves children ages 4 to 5. We currently use Go! curriculum.

Our Elementary classroom serves children from ages 6-11. We currently use Go! curriculum.

My child has special needs.  Can they still attend children’s ministry?

Yes! Depending on the needs of your child, it may be best to reach out to our Rock Kids staff prior to dropping your child off for children’s ministry. If necessary, we have a PALS program in place for families to receive a 1 on 1 for high needs children to be able to attend church. We would love to discuss your child’s needs and any accommodations they may need prior to Sunday morning. Please email our children’s director Kylie Chesley at kylie.chesley@experiencetherock.church so we can assist you.

How can I be sure that no one else picks up my child from The Rock Kids?

When you check in to The Rock Kids, your child is given a sticker with their name, age level, allergies and a specific code for your child. You are given a tag with the matching code for pick-up. Only adults with the matching tag are able to take your child from The Rock Kids program. If you forget or lose your tag you will be required to show I.D. at our check in desk.

Do your serve children snacks in The Rock Kids program?  Can we bring food from home?

Our nursery has Cheerios available for babies who are able to have them. Our toddler/preschool and elementary classes all have Veggie Straws and water during children’s church. Due to allergies, we would prefer if you did not bring in outside food.

If my child is sick, can they still attend The Rock Kids?

Our Rock Kids program has an illness policy like many daycare programs and schools. If your child is showing signs of fever, vomiting, diarrhea, cough, runny nose or sore throat we would ask that you not drop off for children’s church. If your child becomes ill during the service you will be paged using your child’s identification code located on your pick-up tags.
